Can we customize our home? Yes, we have a wide variety of floor plans to satisfy your desires and requirements in a new home. However, you may wish to modify one or more elements of your home, such as adding an additional bathroom, sunroom, or finishing your basement. Perhaps you may wish to expand one of our popular plans to meet the needs of your individual living situation. At Sterling Homes, we are pleased to work with you in the interest of creating a home that is perfect for you. How long does it take to build a home? Our build time is five months, or 150 days, from the date of contract. Your purchase agreement will include a closing date. What separates Sterling from other builders? Sterling Homes are simply well-designed and well-built, the way every new home should be. Our theory over the years has been this: we build homes that we would be proud to live in ourselves. Furthermore, our relationships with our trade partners have withstood the test of time; when a homebuilder has worked with the same carpenters, plumbers, painters, etc, over a span of many years, you can be sure that the team will work together like a well-oiled machine. The result: incredible efficiency and quality of construction. Combine that with superior building materials, a sales and service team that listen and care, and pride in our craftsmanship, and you have the recipe for an outstanding home! What if I need a home right away? Sterling Homes maintains an inventory of completed or nearly-completed homes at all times for those who are transferring into the area, have sold their home quicker than they anticipated, or simply do not want to wait for their new home to be built. Be sure to view the Quick Delivery Homes section for further information. Will Sterling Homes allow me to work with a Realtor? Yes, if you have been working with a Realtor in your home search, we ask that your Realtor accompany you on your initial visit to our model home. We then will ask your Realtor to register with us, and he or she will then receive a commission on the purchase of your Sterling home. Can I use my own lender? Yes, you can use your own lender or choose one of our preferred lenders. Our preferred lenders offer competitive rates and extended rate lock programs, and have extensive knowledge and expertise in working alongside Sterling homebuyers. Are the home sites included in the base price? Yes, a standard home site is included in the base price of the home. Additional home sites are also available per community which may offer water views, lookout or walkout basement options, or oversized green areas. |
